Association Croquet Tutor’s Aid

This version is mainly for coaches and players wishing to record their particular techniques which may be of help to other players. It has the same functionality as the main game with the addition of being able to record a series of strokes, stroke by stroke, save the sequence and then, at a later date, to play them back one stroke at a time whilst giving a commentary. If a stroke goes wrong during the recording it is possible to step back to replay it correctly. Similarly, when demonstrating to an audience, it is possible to step back to repeat a shot which may not have been fully understood.

To make it easier to play the strokes accurately for demonstration purposes, the shooting inaccuracy can be cancelled.

In addition to using the program to demonstrate directly to other players, it will be possible to record a screen capture video while describing the shots.

The files are stored in the same location as the main program and in  .xml format. This is a simple text format. The files can be inspected by opening them using Notepad or Excel. The files can be emailed to other players

It is hoped that coaches will make the files available for others to use and Brookwood Croquet will host a central library.
