Advantage Golf Croquet offers an improved balance of play in handicap games but keeping tabs on the score is now harder.
Brookwood Croquet offers purpose made counters to make it easier for players to keep the score. The counters come in two shapes. A flat shape which will easily fit in a pocket and a larger cylindrical, colour coordinated shape. Both types have a cord and clip so they can be attached to a players clothing in a visible location. Each counter has two sets of numbers from -4 to 7. One set is for the ‘Stronger’/’Lower Handicap Player’ and the other set is for the ‘Weaker’/’Higher Handicap Player’. Brookwood Croquet prefers the terms Lower and Higher Handicap because there is no such thing as a weaker player, just less experienced. At the start of the game the wheels are rotated to bring up the starting score. For the cylindrical counter the ends are rotated. The wheels and ends click into position for each number via a ratchet so that there is no risk that the numbers could change accidentally should the counter be kept in a pocket.
The Flat Counters have an option to have a slider which indicates the ball colour being played. There are two small windows which show the colours and they change as the slider is moved to any of blue/red; red/blue; green/pink; pink/green.
The flat version comes in a basic colour of silver (£10.00) and two deluxe colours of gold silk (£10.00) or rose pink silk(£10.00). Any of these colours can have a player’s name added by special order for an additional £2.00.
The Slider Option comes in the same colour range and costs an additional £3.00 due to greater complexity and assembly time.
The cylindrical version(£10.00) comes in either Blue and Red or Green and Pink to match the balls being played. In the event that a Blue and Red counter needs to be used for the alternate colours, there is an ‘S’ for ‘stronger’ on one end and a ‘W’ for ‘weaker’ on the other. These versions could have the club name added to the end if desired, for an additional £2.00.
For the flat version, postage and packing for a single or up to 8 is £2.00
For the cylindrical version small parcel post dictates a cost of £5.20 but up to 10 can be sent for the same price. Hence, it will be beneficial if members of clubs get together and order in bulk.

STARTING SCORES TABLE
In addition to the counters Brookwood croquet can also supply plastic versions of the Advantage Golf Croquet Starting Scores Table complete with a slider to make it easier to read off the starting scores. Move the slider across the table until the top window aligns with the Lower handicap player’s handicap and then read the starting score which aligns with the Higher handicap player’s handicap. These tables will be made to order only. The cost is £15.00 plus £2.00 for postage.

ADVANTAGE GC POSTS
Standard Post
Colourful, durable posts with cross bar for clips. Available in Primary or Secondary Colours. Post is 320mm high with 160×10 cross bar and 80×10 ground spike. Supplied in kit form with loose cross bar and ground spike. A small tube of superglue is included to bond the cross bar and spike in position.
Deluxe Post
This option has a slotted box containing numbered blades which slide out. At the start of the game the tabs with the appropriate starting score numbers are pulled out. Lower handicap player on the left and higher handicap player on the right as displayed above. The numbers are also visible on the reverse faces. The smaller number at the bottom indicates the total number of hoops the player needs to score to win. Made from durable and flexible PETG plastic.
LAWN DESIGNATION COUNTERS FOR GOLF CROQUET
To simplify organizing mix-ins, use these counters. When the player draws one, they immediately know which lawn they are playing on and their colour. it also saves the need to toss at the start of the game, so when a player is using clips to record the progress of their game, they know which colour clips to select immediately. Supplied in primary and secondary colours for each lawn number and tertiary sets are available as shown in the second photograph. Can be supplied with any lawn number. The counters are 37mm diameter by 2mm thick.
